His eyes got so big when he saw what awaited him!
The Easter Bunny was quite generous to both boys.
After raiding the loot, we got dressed for church. Easter service is always one of my favorite with the joyous hymns! Then we headed to the Hoerth's for Charlie's first ever egg hunt. Grandma Hoerth very generously hides an egg for every great-grandchild (I think we are close to 30). With a little help, he found his. Then it was back to Nonna and Papa's for another, bigger, egg hunt. We showed Charlie how to hold his basket and sent him on his way.
Soon Malcolm realized that, this year, he has competition in this hunt.
The boys took a much needed rest.
Until Malcolm realized that he could add to his stash by just reaching into Charlie's basket....
Charlie wouldn't have it! He walked away.
Charlie did get one more chance to hunt for eggs at Barb and Duane's house. He and Malcolm had another great time together. After this day, they were expert egg finders.
Charlie and I had a wonderful Easter together....but we look forward to sharing it with Daddy next year.
Watch out for that Malcolm kid. Seems like a sneaky guy.
ReplyDeleteLove it that the boys use our Easter baskets!
