It's been a strange spring here. We've had beautifully warm days that have enticed us out of doors and into parks and beaches. And we've had incredibly cold, windy and rainy days that have driven us back into the house with the hope that tomorrow will be better. Today is one of those days that, when looking out the window from the warm house, you see perfection. The bright sun, the blossoming tulips and azalea, the students running with shorts...it all makes you want to walk out into the fresh air. But when you do, you realize those students are nuts for running in shorts because it is 40 degrees with nasty wind chill of 30. So I will enjoy this day from my window.
We have been making the most of this spring, so far. Here are a few things we've been up to.
| Mia and Grandad got Charlie a Thomas train to ride. |
| He couldn't be more excited! |
| We had some snack picnics while doing yard work....or watching yard work get done. |
| We went on a little vacation to North Conway, NH. The pool was the highlight... |
| until he saw the trains! |
| He was in heaven. |
| Spring has brought lots of fun... |
| but sometimes we get a little bored. |
| We welcomed the arrival of Nan's piano! He loves playing! |
| We celebrated having all grandparents in one room. |
| Charlie points out every daffodil he sees, and talks about them when he doesn't see any. |
We have also been renovating our kitchen, but have hit a few bumps. I will post about that when it is completed. And we went to WI for a few weeks to avoid the renovation dust, but that trip deserves its own post too. Stay tuned.
