Charlie Channel - Charlie being Charlie

Here are a couple of videos of Charlie just being himself.  He's pretty funny, so we thought we would share.

Charlie Turns One!!

We can hardly believe it, but Charlie is one year old.  This has been the most challenging and rewarding year of our lives.  We made it from the tiny newborn days (when we literally had no idea what we were doing) to our big, independent, interactive (almost) toddler days (and we still have no idea what we are doing).  At least we can take comfort in knowing that he is happy, healthy, and wonderful (so we must be doing something right).
We will be celebrating his birthday with our families in the upcoming weeks, but on his actual b-day we took Charlie out for his birthday gelato.  We think an August birthday most certainly warrants a gelato treat!

In this last picture, he is hamming it up by waving to all those sitting around us and walking by us.  He seems to enjoy the spotlight. Not sure who he gets that from.
We have so much to be thankful for!!!  Happy Birthday Charlie!!!

Connecting in Connecticut

In June, we headed to CT to visit Kristy and Jason in their new home.  We were very excited to make the trip and a little nervous about how Charlie would handle a road trip.  As always, Charlie did great.  At the time, Charlie was waking up at 5:30am so we had a bit of hang out time in our room in the mornings.  So we took some cute pictures.
That weekend we also celebrated Father's Day so I snapped a few baby and daddy pictures.

What a great daddy!!
We had a nice, relaxing weekend and did a lot hanging out and catching up with Kristy and Jason.  Charlie also had some fun play time with each of them.

He really seemed to warm up to them quickly and had a great time hanging out.
On the car ride back, we drove through a few tunnels.  Charlie's hilarious reaction was the same each time.
The rest of the ride he played, napped, and found ways to entertain himself.
We can't wait to visit Kristy and Jason again!
