And the winner is....

During the shower, one of the games was a competition to see who could design and decorate the best onesie.

Lots of people participated and the decision was a hard one.

 The winner was promised that their onesie would be displayed on our blog.

Baby Shower - Wisconsin Style

During our trip to Wisconsin, Mom, Dad, Erin & Paul threw us a baby shower. 

It was a big to-do and lots of friends and family joined the celebration on that gorgeous day.

Including my dear friend, Athena, whose first baby is due 2 weeks after ours.

The shower was filled with lots of games.  

Games to guess when Poppy will arrive.

Games for little kids.

Games for medium-sized kids.

And games for big kids.

Of course if wouldn't be a party without cake from Gramma Hoerth!

Our celebration was also shared with an incredible milestone: My Grandparents Grunze's 65th wedding anniversary!!!

It's very special to see "Great" generations sharing a moment.

And in honor of their anniversary we were able to snap a Grunze family photo (with a few key players missing).

It was such a great day and we are so grateful for all the people who showed up (in person or in spirit) to celebrate this exciting time with us!!!

We took our final trip to Wisconsin before the baby arrives.

We tried to fit in as many of our favorite things as we could.  Starting with Madison!

We ate good food, bought cheesy bread at the Farmers' Market, and lounged at the Terrace with Erin, Paul and Malcolm.

After the Terrace, Coach Paul gave Mike a tutorial in Diaper Changing Tactics.

It was a success!

We made our way back to Milwaukee for a Brewers game.

                      

Erin sported the Molitor jersey she was given when she was 7 years old.  Yes, she still fits in a shirt she wore when she was 7!

Then back to Grunzes for some outside fun.

Uncle Mike spent lots time "hanging" out with Malcolm.

We all played a game of bocce ball, and Malcolm won!

On the 4th of July we went to the Germantown parade with the Schlomers.

      

By the end of our trip, Malcolm seemed to have an understanding of the baby in my belly.  When asked what was in my belly, Malcolm would respond "Poppy Baby" and rub my or his belly.

We had a great time and can't wait for Poppy to meet the family.
