In September, we took Charlie to the Apple Orchard to pick apples, soak up the warm sun, and introduce him to handmade doughnuts.
First, Mike showed him the art of choosing and picking apples.
Like everything else, he caught on quickly.
Then the reward for all this hard work.....Mmmmmmmm!

I like these apples, but I was promised doughnuts.
So off we went to find doughnuts.
But, out of nowhere, we were sidetracked by pumpkins.
Then finally, the moment Charlie was waiting for....his first bite of doughnut.
Did he like it? Well, he ate the whole thing and half of mine.
We had a great trip and Charlie reflected on this excitement on the ride home (sitting forward in his car seat for the first time). We love apple orchards....with doughnuts.
